    The author also illustrates an engraving by Nicolas de Larmessin III (1684-1755), part of a series of engravings, Les Quatre Saisons, devoted to the four seasons. These were produced between 1740 and 1745 after paintings by Nicolas Lancret (1690-1743) of 1738.
